Eyjafjöll als “untätig” eingestuft
Etwas Dampf, aber keine Asche mehr: Die isländischen Behörden haben den Vulkan Eyjafjöll für "untätig" erklärt. Das heißt aber noch nicht viel: Jetzt sei er zwar "ruhig" - aber es sei zu früh zu sagen, dass die Ausbrüche beendet seien. Denn in der Vergangenheit zogen sich Ausbrüche des Vulkans lange hin.
Ausnahmezustand in Jamaikas Hauptstadt

Cannes: Goldene Palme für den Film “Uncle Boonmee”
Der ungewöhnlichste Beitrag hat gewonnen: Der thailändische Film "Uncle Boonmee" des Regisseurs Weerasethakul erhielt in Cannes die Goldene Palme - und damit ein Film nach dem Geschmack von Jury-Chef Tim Burton. Auch Deutsche waren an der Erfolgsgeschichte beteiligt.
